A special meeting of the Fort Collins Liquor Licensing
Authority was held at the office of the City Manager, Fort Collins
Colorado, on Monday, August 18th, at one fifteen o'clock in the
afternoon.
There were present:
Karl E. Carson, Chairman presiding
Alvin J. Kruchten
Harry E. Troxell
> William Lopez
comprising a, quorum of the board; also
Verna Lewis, Acting Secretary
Morris G. Magie, Petitioner
Gordon Clyde, Chief Building Inspector
Absent:
Jerry Kissock
The Chairman stated that the Authority had been con-
vened to hear the case pending on the granting of a Packaged
Store License to the petitioner, Morris G.. Magie. In the absence
of a written report from the Building Inspection Office, a verbal
report was given by Gordon Clyde, stating that -he had been advised
by his field inspectors that all deficiencies had been corrected,
and that it was his recommendation that the license be granted.
Messrs, Kruchten and Troxell requested a list of the
items that were to be corrected; they are as follows:
1. Adequate fire protection over cooler
2. Fire door Cl hour door) on exit to Trimble Street
3. Handrail on basement stairs.
Mr. Clyde assured the Authority that all of the above
had been corrected.
Mr. Troxell asked whether or not the plumbing deficiency
had been corrected. CThis was a valve in the bathroom). He was
assured by both Mr. Clyde and Mr. Magie, that this also had been
corrected.
Mr. Lopez questioned the status of the drive up, or walk
up window, and was informed that this request had been denied.
On motion duly made and seconded, the motion to grant
a license carried.
Mr. Kruchten moved that on subsequent reports from the
Building Inspection office on pending liquor licenses, written
reports be given to the Authority members prior to, or immediately
after the Council meeting for examination.
The motion carried.
There being no further discussion; on motion duly made
and seconded, the meeting adjourned.
