' COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, COLORADO
Council - Manager Form of Government
Organizational Meeting - 10:00 A.M..
An organizational meeting of the Council was called to order by
Mayor Wilkinson at 10:00 a.m. in the City of Fort Collins Council
Chambers on Tuesday, April 12, 1977. Roll call was answered by
the following Councilmembers: Bloom, Bowling, Gray, St. Croix,
Suinn and Wilkinson.
Absent: Councilman Russell.
Staff Members Present: Brunton, Lewis, Liley, DiTullio, Webber,
Lanspery, Wood, Smith, Fierce, Bingman,
Case, Ferluga, Holmes, Thexton, McGraw,
Liquin, Hilgenberg, Krempel, Garth, Watson,
Hisam, Steadman, Jones, Phillips, Kaplan,
McKibbin, Polifka, Dowell, Jacobsen and
Mooney.
City Clerk Verna Lewis presented the canvass of election, then
administered the oath of office to the elected Councilmembers
(Bowling, Gray, St. Croix and Wilkinson).
Mayor Wilkinson then called for nominations for the office of
Mayor.
Councilman Bowling placed in nomination Arvid Bloom; there being
no further nominations from the floor, Councilman Suinn moved
that nominations cease.
Mayor Wilkinson called for a roll call vote which was as follows:
Yeas: Councilmembers Bloom, Bowling, Gray, St. Croix, Suinn and
Wilkinson. Nays: None.
Former Mayor Wilkinson declared Councilman Bloom the newly elected
Mayor and turned the gavel over to Mayor Bloom.
Mayor Bloom then called for nominations for the office of Vice -
Mayor.
Councilwoman Gray nominated Councilman Suinn. There being no
further nominations, Councilman Bowling moved that nominations
cease.` Mayor Bloom called for a roll call vote as follows:
Yeas: Councilmembers Bloom, Bowling, Gray, St. Croix, Suinn and
Wilkinson. Nays: None.

Mayor Bloom declared the organizational meeting closed and
stated the adjourned meeting of the Council would convene at
1:30 p.m. then recess to attend the services for former City
Manager Tom Coffey and reconvene at 3:30 p.m.
