HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES-01/16/1980-Adjourned0 11 ADJOURNED (MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, COLORADO Council - Manager Form of Government January 16, 1980 5:30 p.m. An adjourned meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins was held on Wed- nesday, January 16, 1980 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers in the City of Fort Collins City Hall. Roll Call was answered by the following Council - members: Bowling, Reeves, Wilkinson and Wilmarth. Absent: Councilmembers Gray, Kross, St.Croix. Staff Members Present: Arnold, Lanspery, Lewis, Liley and Ruggiero. Ordinance Adopted on Second Reading Calling a Special Election City Attorney, Lucia Liley, proposed the following amendment to the Ordinance: On page 6, Proposed Charter Amendment No.4, under paragraph 1, to delete the word "thereafter" and insert the phrase, "or call a Special City Election within 90 days from the date the petition is certified to the Council, unless a general or Special City Election is to occur within such 90 day period." Councilman Wilkinson made a motion, seconded by Councilwoman Reeves, to amend Ordinance No.6, 1980 as recommended by the City Attorney. SEAS: Councilmembers Bowling, Reeves, Wilkinson and Wilmarth. NAYS: None. THE MOTION CARRIED. Councilman Wilmarth made a motion, seconded by Councilwoman Reeves, to adopt Ordinance Number6, 1980 on Seccnd Reading, as amended, YEAS: Councilmembers Bowling, Reeves, Wilkinson and Wilmarth. NAYS: None. THE MOTION CARRIED. 366 Januar✓ 16. 1980 Resolution Adopted in Support of Call item on Acquisition of Fort Collins - Loveland Corridor Councilwoman Reeves reported that she had received a call from County Commissioner Thayer who had informed her that the Loveland City Council had adopted the resolution supporting the acquisiton of the Fort Collins - Loveland Corridor. She then recommended Council adopt the Resolution as Larimer County and . Loveland have already done so. City Clerk, Verna Lewis, read the Resolution at length. Councilman Wilkinson made a motion, seconded by Councilwoman Reeves, to adopt the Resolution. YEAS: Councilmembers Bowling, Reeves, Wilkinson and Wilmarth. NAYS: None. THE MOTION CARRIED. Mayor Bowling will inform our legislators of this action. The meeting was adjourned to January 22, 1980, at 5:30 p.m.. The meeting adjourned at 6:00 p.m. 367
