OF THE
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
March 12, 1985
10:00 a.m.
The organizational meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins was
held on Tuesday, March 12, 1985, at 10:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers in
the City of Fort Collins City Hall. Roll call was answered by the
following Councilmembers: Horak, Knezovich, Ohlson, Rutstein, and Stoner.
Councilmembers Absent: Clarke and Elliott
Staff Members Present: Arnold, Huisjen, Krajicek, Lewis, L. Hopkins
Swearing -In of Councilmembers
City Clerk Wanda Krajicek administered the oath of office to newly elected
Councilmembers Larry Estrada, Gerry Horak, John Knezovich, and Ed Stoner.
Councilmembers then took their seats.
Councilmember Knezovich commended Mayor Horak for his year of service as
Mayor of the City of Fort Collins.
Election of Mayor and Assistant Mayor
Mayor Horak called for nominations for the office of Mayor.
Councilmember Ohlson made a motion, seconded by Councilmember Knezovich, to
nominate Barbara Rutstein as Mayor. Yeas: Councilmembers Estrada, Horak,
Knezovich, Ohl.son, Rutstein, and Stoner. Nays: None.
THE MOTION CARRIED.
Mayor Rutstein called for nominations for the office of Assistant Mayor.
Councilmember Estrada made a motion, seconded by Councilmember Horak, to
nominate Kelly Ohl son for the office of Assistant Mayor. Yeas:
Councilmembers Estrada, Horak, Knezovich, Rutstein, and Stoner. Nays:
None. (Councilmember Ohlson abstained)
THE MOTION CARRIED.

Adjournment
There being no further business to come before the Council, the meeting
adjourned at 10:10 p.m.
