HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES-03/26/1996-AdjournedI March 26,1996 COUNCIL 011"'1'HL CITY OF FORT COLLINS, COLORADO Council -Manager Form of Government Adjourned Meeting - 6:30 p.m. An adjourned meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins was held on Tuesday, March 26, 1996, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City of Fort Collins City Hall. Roll Call was answered by the following Councihnetnbers: Apt, Azari, Janett, McCluskey, Smith, and Wanner. Councihnentbers Absent: Councilmember Kneeland. Staff Members Present: Davis, Fischbach, Roy. Resolution 96-41 Making Appointments to the Planning and Zoning Board, Adopted The following is staff's memorandum on this item. "Executive .Stimmaty y ` One vacancy currently c.vists and one vacancy will exist on April 10, 1996 on the Planning and Zoning Board due to the resignations of Gary Carnes and Lloyd Walker. Councibnembers Janett and McCluskey will be interviewing applicants before March 26 aml will provide reconunendations at the meeting to fill the vocancV created by the resignation of Gary Carnes with the term to begin innnediately and to expire June 30, 1997 and to fill the vacancy created by Lloyd Walker's resignation with the terns to begin April 10 and to expire Jute 30, 1996. " Councilmember Janett made a motion, seconded by Councilmember McCluskey, to adopt Resolution 96-41 inserting the name of Jerry Gavaldon. City Attorney Steve Roy clarified the Resolution would make one appointment to the Planning and Zoning Board and postpone filling the two additional vacancies until the normal application process. Councilmember Janett described the term needing to be filled and thanked applicants for their interest in serving on the Planning and Zoning Board. She requested staff provide letters to applicants informing them that they do not need to reapply during the normal Boards and Commissions recruitment process. 178 March 5, 1996 The vole on Councilmember Janett's motion was as follows: Yeas: Councilmembers Apt, Azari, ' Janett, McCloskey, Smith and Wanner. Nays: None. THE MOTION CARRIED. Councilmember Smith thanked staff and all citizen groups involved with arranging the Congress of Neighborhoods.
