Adjourned Meeting - 6:30 p.m.
An adjourned meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins was held on Tuesday, April 22,
1996, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City of Fort Collins City Hall. Roll Call was
answered by the following Councilmembers: Azari, Bertschy, Byrne, Kneeland, Mason, Smith
and Wanner.
Staff Members Present: Fischbach, Krajicek, and Roy.
Mayor Azari introduced study tour guests from Russia that were sponsored by the Rotary Club.
Mayor Azari asked who on Council would be willing to serve as Mayor Pro Tem.
Councilmember Smith expressed his interest in serving as Mayor Pro Tem and spoke of the need
to continue to work hard to achieve the many goals set out by Council.
Councilmember Mason made a motion, seconded by Councilmember Kneeland, to nominate
Councilmember Smith as Mayor Pro Tem. The vote on Councilmember Mason's motion was as
follows: Yeas: Councilmembers Azari, Bertschy, Byrne, Kneeland, Mason, Smith and Warmer.
Nays: None.
THE MOTION CARRIED.
City Clerk Wanda Krajicek administered the oath of office to the newly elected Mayor Pro Tem
William P. Smith.
The meeting adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
