Adjourned Meeting - 6:00 p.m.
An adjourned meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins was held on Tuesday, November
27, 2001, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City of Fort Collins City Hall. Roll Call was
answered bythe following Councilmembers: Bertschy, Hamrick, Kastein, Martinez, Tharp, Wanner
and Weitkunat.
Staff Members Present: Fischbach, Krajicek, Roy
Executive Session Authorized
Councilmember Bertschy made the following motion: I move, under Section 2-31(a)(2) and Section
2-31(a)(3) of the City Code, that the Council go into executive session to discuss the possible
acquisition of real property and to meet with the City Attorney regarding potential litigation, as well
as the manner in which particular policies, practices or regulations of the City may be affected by
existing or proposed provisions of federal, state or local law, seconded by Councilmember Tharp.
The vote on the motion was as follows: Yeas: Bertschy, Hamrick, Kastein, Martinez, Tharp,
Wanner and Weitkunat.
THE MOTION CARRIED.
The meeting reconvened at 9:25 p.m.
Other Business
Councilmember Tharp requested that the Governance Committee meet to clarify the language of the
Oath of Office taken by the Mayor and Councilmembers as it relates to partisan elections.
City Manager Fischbach stated that he would provide Council with background information and
staff will schedule a meeting of the Governance Committee.
