D. 1914 at the City Hall, Present Commissioners Clarmner, Armitage and Edwards City Attorney Frank J. Annie. on motion the reading of the minutes of the meeting of the 6th day of April approved. on motion of Cormeissioner Armitage and seconded by Commissioner Edwards that the bids by different companies namely:Hedges, Atkins McGee Co, Hendrie & Bolthoff Mfg and Supply Co, Fort Collins Hardware, H. G. Diereks, J. J. Bauman. submitting prices on the advertised list for water supplies be referred to the commission of Public Works for comparison. Roll and carried. Moved by commissioner Armitage and seconded by commissioner Edwards that the request of Fred Pomranka for License to run a Billiard and Pool Hall be turned down. The roll being called resulted as follows. Ayes Commissioners Clammer, Armitage and Edwards, Noes none, The President declared the motion carried. Moved by commissioner Armitage and seconded by commissioner Edwards that the City make a price of $440.00 on the furnishing and installation of three 3 inch and one four inch meter at the College providing the City can purchase the meters for $400.00 The roll being called the vote stood as follows, Ayes Commissioner, Clammer, Armitage and, Edwards, Noes none, The President delcared the motion carried. And further the form and terms of the lease running to Tom Beach for the 40 acres south of the Cemetery belonging to the City, was approved $ 600. being the rent payable Oct 1st 1914 and Jan 1st, 1915 , being $300.00 each payment, No feed lots allowed and no trespassing on the cemetery graounds in the mattr of drawing of hay through cemetery, and furhter the Mayor empowered to execute same in be)2alf of the city. Resolved that the Commissioner of Finance be and hereby is instructe to purchase for use of the Council 1 copy of the Revised statutes of Colorado 1908 and the session laws of Colorado 1909s 1911, and 1913. Co. from the streets sf Fort Collins. dom Mr. Parker before he left the city p company desired to remove one track from Mountain Ave. from its intersection with College Ave to that of Jefferson Street, one track on Jefferson Street from College'Ave. to the intersection of Linden Street, and one track on Linden Street from the intersection of Jefferson Stree to the intersection of Mountain Ave. , and the track on Jefferson Street between Linden Street and Peterson Street; and to the removal of these tracks no objection will be in- terposed by the City Commission, but the matter must receive immediate attention and action on the part of your company so that there will be no interfenence with the propose permanent street improvements. It was understood and agreed with the Commissioners that it would be satisfac- tory to take out these tracks. Moved by commissioner Armitage and seconded by commissioner Edwards that the following resolution be adopted. Resolved by the City Council that in the matter of the assessment upon frontage in the Jefferson Street Improvement District No. 1 that the real estate in mm= said district abutting on said improvement District consists of lots whicb are not of substantially equal depth that the same shall be computed and assessed at a uniform depth of not to exceed twenty five (25) feet from the said street so to be improved and that this determination is so made by the City Council in accordance with the requirements of section 5363 of the revised statutes of the State of Colorado, and the City Engineer shall be governed by this resolution in making said computation and assessment and be it further Resolved by the City Council that in making said computation for said Jefferson Street Improvement District No. 1 that as to the following de- scribed tract being a V shape tract to -wit. and that as the said tract one half the cost of the improvement be borne by the City as provided by section 5366 of the Revised Statutes of the State of Colo- rado 1908, and that provision be made therefor in the ordinance for said Improvement District and'that the City Engineer be instructed and authorized to make the computation and assessment for said tract in accordance with this resolution. Commissioner Edwards then offered the following resolution and moved its adoption same seconded by commissioner Armitabe. Resolved by the City Council that the sum of Six Hundred (600) dollars hereto appropriated in the annual appropriation ordinance be and hereby is declared available for advertising purposes in connection the Semi -centennial celebration of the City of Fort Collins to be held during the month of August 1914 and that said sum is hereby set aside for the use and benefit of the Fort Collins Semi - Centennial Association and that warrant or warrants will be authorized to be issued to said Association when requested and be it further Resolved by the City Council that the further sum of four hundred (400) dollars be set aside as available out of the appropriation heretofore made for public entertainment for the use of the Fort Collins Semi -Centennial Association to be used for entertainment of the guests of the City -at the semi -centennial cele- bration to be held in the month of August 19149 and that said sum will be is- sued in a warrant or warrants when required for said association making atotal sum available for said celebration of One thousand Dollars ($1000) The roll being called resulted as follows. Moved by commissioner Edwards that Ordinance No. 3 1914 be put on final passage and do not pass.
