To the Honorable Council Gentlemen: In the matter of the establishment of an alley in Block 44 which was referred to this office at the last session I find that the proposed alley is only 10 feet wide and it was suggested by Commissioner Edwards that it was insufficient and was not certain the City would accept a dedication of an alley of that width. I called Mr Dentons' attention to this matter and suggested to him that no action would be taken in preparing a petition until the Council would indicate whether it would accept an alley of that width and the matter is brought before your body for appropriate action . and I await furthe action in this matter. I have under con- sideration the preparation of an ordinance respecting Explosives and oils and will be prepared to report at the next regular meeting .
