MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, held
Tuesday, April 9, 1963, at 10:00 o'clock A.M.
Present: Councilmen Frink, Roberts, Colwell, Sanford and Honstein. City Manager
Norris, City Attorney March and City Engineer Weiss. Councilmen elect Harvey G. Johnson,
Lawrence J. McMillan and Councilwoman elect Lorraine A. Quinn.
Mayor Frink announced the purpose of the meeting to be the installation of Council
men elect Harvey G. Johnson, Lawrence J. McMillan and Councilwoman elect Lorraine A. Quinn.
The City Clerk advised the Council that the Board of Elections had certified the election c
the above citizens. Miles F. House, City Clerk, administered the oath of office to the
Councilmen and Councilwoman elect.
Mayor Frink, the presiding officer, called for nominations for Mayor of the City
of Fort Collins. Motion was made by Councilman McMillan, seconded by Councilwoman Quinn,
that C. E. Honstein be appointed Mayor Pro Tem of the Gity of Fort Collins for the next
three sessions of the Council. Roll was called resulting as follows: Ayes: Councilmen
Colwell, McMillan, Johnson and Councilwoman Quinn. Nayes: None. The President declared
the motion adopted and Councilman C. E. Honstein was further declared Mayor Pro Tem of the
City of Fort Collins for the ensuing three sessions of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins.
Mayor Frink surrendered the gavel to Mayor Pro Tem C. E. Honstein. Inasmuch as
the Council has not formerly organized the election of a menber for the office of Assistant
Mayor of the City of Fort Collins, this was dispensed with at this time. There being no
further business, motion was made by Councilman Colwell, seconded by Councilman Johnson,
that the Council adjourn. Roll was called resulting as follows: Ayes: Councilmen Honstei
Colwell, McMillan, Johnson and Councilwoman Quinn. Nayes
the motion adopted and the Council adjourned.
