RE: Work Session Summary – July 13, 2021: Fort Collins Connexion Update
On July 13, 2021, Mayor Pro Tem Gorgol, and Councilmembers Gutowsky, Ohlson, Peel,
and Canonico participated in the work session. Staff members Chad Crager and Erin
Shanley presented.
Staff presented a thorough overview and update that included construction updates
and metrics, customer experience strategy and marketing updates, collaborations, and potential
grant information.
Discussion:
x Lots of excitement and encouragement for existing work and increased
information for residents (map and address look-up.)
x Suggestions to refine the 6-9 month window between construction and service
availability, especially if someone is uncertain when construction began or
occurred.
x Suggestion to make the address look-up more prevalent on the website.
x Questions regarding when construction and boring will be complete and where
the budget stands. Staff shared general timelines and shared that an Executive
Session is being scheduled to discuss in more detail.
Next Steps:
x Work on website improvements/suggestions.
x Schedule Executive session.
