RE: City Manager Recruitment and Selection Process

The intention of this memo is to summarize our July 27 Council Work Session
discussion regarding the recruitment and selection process for a new City Manager.
After presenting a framework of the major milestones in an executive recruitment and
Council engagement, City Council discussed selecting an ad hoc Council Committee to
develop recommendations to the Council for the recruitment and selec tion of a City
Manager.
The Council expressed support for staff to select the executive recruitment firm.
At the August 4 City Council meeting a Resolution will be brought forward for
consideration and approval.
