HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOUNCIL - PROCLAMATION - 11/21/2017 - PROCLAMATION RECOGNIZING THE NORTHERN COLORADO LONPROCLAMATION WHEREAS, Northern Colorado Long Term Acute Hospital has been providing long- term and critical care services to patients in Johnstown, Colo., and surrounding areas since 2007; and WHEREAS, the hospital treats more than 200 patients every year who are recovering from serious illnesses or injuries such as respiratory failure, ventilator weaning, trauma, infectious diseases, complex wound healing, cardiovascular diseases, neurological diseases, and more; and WHEREAS, Northern Colorado Long Term Acute Hospital is recognized nationally as being the first and only hospital in Colorado to earn The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Respiratory Failure, a serious and life-threatening condition; and WHEREAS, hospital services are provided by a long-term healthcare team who tailors treatments to the complex needs of the hospital’s patients through personalized plans of care; and WHEREAS, patients have access to specialized care, best practices, and evidenced- based clinical practices, resulting in positive outcomes and high quality of life; and WHEREAS, the hospital’s employees are passionate about patient care, striving to create a healing and nurturing environment for their patients every day. NOW, THEREFORE, I, Wade Troxell, Mayor of the City of Fort Collins, do hereby proclaim November 21, 2017 as NORTHERN COLORADO LONG TERM ACUTE HOSPITAL DAY in the city of Fort Collins and urge all citizens, regardless of age or health, to learn more about specialized long-term acute healthcare and options available to receive the highest quality care for you and your loved ones.
