WHEREAS, Fort Collins is an innovation community with an entrepreneurial workforce,
strong business centers and a supportive business community; and
WHEREAS, Fort Collins is a place where invention, innovation, and creativity thrives,
making the community one of the nation’s top regions for business and careers and a great place
for long-term investment; and
WHEREAS, the City is a proud sponsor of Techstars Startup Week and ARTup Week
Fort Collins, which showcases the diversity of small and emerging businesses in our community;
and
WHEREAS, Techstars Startup Week and ARTup Week Fort Collins will feature over
100 free panels, presentations, networking events, and workshops to the business and startup
community; and
WHEREAS, businesses in Fort Collins provide quality jobs at all income levels and
financially support the community’s non-profit organizations; and
WHEREAS, the City appreciates businesses as community partners and problem solvers.
NOW THEREFORE, I, Wade Troxell, Mayor of the City of Fort Collins, do hereby
proclaim the week of February 25, 2019 as
FORT COLLINS STARTUP WEEK
in Fort Collins in honor of businesses in Fort Collins and the innovative workforce that they
employ.
