City of Fort Collins PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS,tourism is an important economic contributorto the Cityof Fort Collins,bringing
in approximately one-sixth of the City's sales tax revenue;and
WHEREAS, the American Collegiate Hockey Association 2007 Men's Division II National
Tournament will be held at the Edora Pool Ice Center the week of March 7-10, 2007; and
WHEREAS, this event will bring 16 teams to Fort Collins from across the United States to
compete in Division II Hockey;and
WHEREAS,approximately600 people will attend this tournament,manytraveling from other
states; and
WHEREAS, the tournament is a valuable economic boost during the spring season; and
WHEREAS, events such as this contribute to the economic cluster that is "Uniquely Fort
Collins".
NOW,THEREFORE,I,Doug Hutchinson,Mayor of the Cityof Fort Collins,do herebyproclaim
the week of March 7-10,2007 as
AMERICAN COLLEGIATE HOCKEY ASSOCIATION'S
MEN'S DIVISION II
NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP WEEK
in Fort Collins and encourage all citizens to attend this exciting event.
