Please call 221-6515(TDD 224-6001)for assistance. 1. Call Meeting to Order. 2. Regional Transportation Authority Update. (2 1/2 hour discussion) A. The Citizens' Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) Steering Committee will present their proposal for an RTA. (majority report) (25 minute presentation) The Citizens' Regional Transportation Steering Committee formed in early 2007 with broadly based representation from many perspectives and interests from the regional community. Their work is based on information from an earlier Transportation Summit(Summer 2006),the work of the Principles Committee(Fall 2006), experts in a variety of disciplines, and interviews with a variety of stakeholders in the region. The Committee developed its proposal - Regional Solution and Local Flexibility Plan. The Plan is attached and is to be reviewed and discussed at the work session. B. A separate report has been prepared by four members of the Principles Committee to be reviewed at the work session. (minority report) (25 minute presentation) The Principles Committee was formed in the Fall 2006. The Committee adopted a set of"Guiding Principles" and its report is based upon those Guiding Principles. Their report is attached and is to be reviewed and discussed at the work session. 3.
