Fort Collins
PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins recognizes the contributions of the Larimer County
federal community of approximately 2500 employees to both the city and the county; and
WHEREAS, the Northern Colorado Council (NCC) of the Colorado Federal Executive
Board(CFEB),an organization of Federal agency heads or designated representatives,has set aside
April 28, 2010 to acknowledge diversity by hosting the Federal Heritage Festival 2010; and
WHEREAS,the Festival provides an opportunity to educate employees and foster awareness
of diversity and strengthen relations among all groups; and
WHEREAS, this Festival will include performances, workshops and speeches on racial
identity, intercultural competence, immigration, various religions, sexual orientations, African
American history, Native American culture, and differing abilities.
WHEREAS, the theme for the Federal Heritage Festival is"Diversity Among Us—Northern
Colorado."
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Doug Hutchinson, Mayor of the City of Fort Collins, do hereby
proclaim April, 28, 2010 as
FEDERAL HERITAGE DAY
and call upon the people of Fort Collins to learn more about the diversity of the people of Northern
Colorado by participating in educational events such as this Federal Heritage Festival.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and the seal of the City of Fort
Collins this 20th day of April, A.D. 2010.
