Resolution 2010-005 Making Appointments to the Youth Advisory Board.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This Resolution appoints three members to the Youth Advisory Board.
BACKGROUND / DISCUSSION
Currently a vacancy exists on the Youth Advisory Board due to the resignation of Carolyn Wockner. Ordinance No.
002, 2010, adopted on Second Reading this same date, provides flexibility for the membership of the Youth Advisory
Board to consist of a minimum of five members up to a maximum of nine members. This Resolution appoints three
members to the Youth Advisory Board bringing the current membership to nine members.
Interviews were conducted during the annual appointment process in November 2009. Councilmembers Kottwitz and
Ohlson are recommending Megan Jansen,Michael Mahon,and Danika Ward to fill said vacancies with terms to begin
February 15, 2010 and set to expire December 31, 2013.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends adoption of the Resolution.
RESOLUTION 2010-005
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
MAKING APPOINTMENTS TO THE YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD
WHEREAS, a vacancy currently exists on the Youth Advisory Board due to the resignation
of Carolyn Wockner; and
WHEREAS,Ordinance No.002,2010,adopted on February 2,2010,provides flexibility for
the membership of the Youth Advisory Board to consist of a minimum of five members up to a
maximum of nine members; and
WHEREAS,the City Council desires to make appointments to bring the current membership
to nine (9) members.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows:
Section 1. That the following named persons are hereby appointed to fill vacancies on
the Youth Advisory Board, with terms to begin February 15, 2010 and to expire as set forth after
each name:
Youth Advisory Board Expiration of Term
Megan Jansen December 31, 2013
Michael Mahon December 31, 2013
Danika Ward December 31, 2013
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins this 2nd
day of February A.D. 2020.
