Please call 221-6515(TDD 224-6001)for assistance. 1. Call Meeting to Order. 2. North Front Range 2035 Regional Transportation Plan. (30 minutes) Staff will present background information, answer questions and record any specific comments or suggestions related to regional transportation issues. 3. Update on the Strategic Planning Process for Solid Waste Reduction. (30 minutes) At the March 28th work session, Council requested more information about several ideas from a strategic planning process for solid waste for further review. The new measures are presented here. Does Council wish to initiate action on any of the following three new measures: 1. curbside yardwaste recycling 2. an electronics recycling program 3. an increased education"push" about waste reduction In particular: • For yardwaste recycling, shall the City amend the trash hauler licensing ordinance to require the hauler to provide yardwaste collection as a new service to customers? • For electronics recycling, shall the City amend the trash hauler licensing ordinance to prohibit trash haulers from accepting computers and televisions in the waste stream? 4. Initial Findings from the Economic Barriers Outreach Effort. (1 hour) The purpose of this discussion is to answer the following questions: 1. Does the City Council have any questions about the initial findings? 2. Does Council have any comments or questions regarding the recommendations? 3. Does the City Council support staff further studying potential Code changes and developing more detailed recommendations for Council consideration? 5. Other Business. 6. Adiournment.
