1. Call Meeting to Order.
2. Larimer County Criminal Justice Svstern. (45 minutes)
The Larimer County Criminal Justice Coordinator will give a presentation detailing the
current status of the Criminal Justice System.
3. Update from the Convention and Visitors Bureau. 10 minute n ( s)
In January 2006, the Fort Collins Convention and Visitors Bureau (FCCVB) presented its
strategic plan to Council. Two of the objectives of the plan were to:
1. Promote Arts and Culture in Fort Collins
2. Increase awareness of Fort Collins in the Denver market.
The FCCVB has worked in partnership with the Cultural Resources Board to develop a
community cultural calendar and a cultural event marketing campaign for the Denver/Front
Range market. The purpose of this work session is to update Council on those projects.
4. Minimum Property and Building Maintenance Standards. (1 hour)
This discussion focuses on options related to continued development and implementation of
entirely new comprehensive property and building maintenance standards that may or may
not be applicable to all properties in the City.
Staff seeks direction and answers from Council in response to the following questions:
1. Does Council wish to further consider comprehensive property and building
maintenance standards along the lines of those described in the outlined suggested
revisions to the City Code?
2. If Council does want to further consider comprehensive property and building
maintenance standards, staff seeks Council responses to the following:
a. Does the outline provide the community with what Council has in mind
relative to Council's stated goal of"Improving Neighborhood Quality"?
b. Does Council agree with the revised proposed timeline for bringing the item
forward in the form of an ordinance and formal action with a phased-in grace
period?
3. If Council does not wish to further consider comprehensive property and building
maintenance standards, are there any particular changes or revisions to current
minimum requirements for"moved-in"and relocated buildings,rental housing, and
any other existing buildings and properties that Council desires to pursue at this
time?
5. Recreational Vehicle Parkin Storage and Urban Campine (30 minutes)
This session will focus on staff recommendations to change current ordinances to address
proper parking and storage of Recreational Vehicles (RVs) and trailers, and persons using
vehicles or trailers for residential purposes on public or private property.
At the conclusion of the discussion,Council will be asked to answer the following questions:
1. Does Council wish to move forward with the proposed changes regarding RV storage
and parking?
2. Does Council wish to move forward with the proposed changes regarding persons
using vehicles or trailers for residential purposes on public or private property?
3. If so, does Council agree with the proposed timeline?
6. Other Business.
7. Adjournment.
