Please call 221-6515(TDD 224-6001)for assistance. 1. Call Meeting to Order. 2. Boards and Commissions Periodic Review. (30 minutes) Staff is seeking direction from Council regarding the status of the three boards being reviewed: Commission on Disability, Golf Board and Water Board. The work session will conclude with either: 1. A statement that the board should continue without alteration; or 2. Direction to staff to prepare legislation making any changes (number of members, duties, etc.). 3. Downtown Zone District Standards for Taller Buildings (over 3 stories). (45 minutes) The purpose of this discussion is to consider the following questions: 1. Does Council support the recommendations of the Downtown Strategic Plan as the appropriate basis for Code regulations goveming development of taller buildings? 2. If so,does Council find the proposed Code approach to be adequate and appropriate as drafted? 4. Economic Action Plan. (45 minutes) This presentation on the draft Economic Action Plan provides Council with an overview of the recommended Action Plan,the specific initiatives that have been identified through the Economic Vitality and Sustainability Action Group(EVSAG)and Budgeting for Outcomes process. Staff is seeking Council feedback on the draft document before the Plan is formally adopted by Council. 5. Holiday Display Policy. (1 hour) The purpose of this discussion is to answer the following questions: 1. Does Council want to change the City's current policy regulating holiday displays on City property? 2. If so, what approach would Council like staff to pursue? 6. Other Business. 7. Adjournment.
