SUBJECT
First Reading of Ordinance No. 010,2009,Amending Ordinance No. 058, 2007, Which Amended
the Zoning Map of the City of Fort Collins by Changing the Zoning Classification for that Certain
Property Known as the Rigden Farm Tract A Rezoning.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends adoption of this Ordinance on First Reading.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
An error was made in Ordinance No.058,2007. Section 2 of that Ordinance stated that the property
should not be included in the Residential Neighborhood Sign District. Section 2 should have read
that the property was to be included in the Residential Neighborhood Sign District. This Ordinance
will correct that error.
ORDINANCE NO. 010, 2009
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 058, 2007, WHICH AMENDED
THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS BY CHANGING
THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION FOR THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY
KNOWN AS THE RIGDEN FARM TRACT A REZONING
WHEREAS, on May 1, 2007,the City Council,on second reading, adopted Ordinance No.
058,2007,amending the zoning map for the property known as the Rigden Farm Tract A Rezoning;
and
WHEREAS, City staff has recently discovered that an error was made in Section 2 of
Ordinance No. 058, 2007, in that Section 2 stated that the property should not be included in the
Residential Neighborhood Sign District, when in fact, the property should have been placed in the
Residential Neighborhood Sign District; and
WHEREAS, this Ordinance will correct that error and place the Rigden Farm Tract A
rezoning into the Residential Neighborhood Sign District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that Section 2 of Ordinance No. 058, 2007 be amended to read as follows:
Section 2. That the Sign District Map adopted pursuant to Section 3.8.7(E)of the Land
Use Code is hereby amended to show that the above-described property is included in the Residential
Neighborhood Sign District.
Introduced and considered favorably on first reading and ordered published this 20th day of
January, A.D. 2009, and to be presented for final passage on the 3rd day of February, A.D. 2009.
