The City applied for and received a "Local Action Plan Development Grant" from ICLEI to assist

to reimburse $8.750 worth of staff time and will provide $9,600 for a local Pollution Prevention
consultant to help quantify measures in the Plan.
A Staff Technical Team and a Citizen Advisory Committee were convened in 1998 to develop the
Local Action Plan. The Local Action Plan is scheduled for Council consideration on November 16,
1999,completing our contract obligations to ICLEI under this grant. Natural Resources intends to
submit a final project report to ICLEI on November 4, 1999. Upon receipt of the report, they will
issue the remaining funds ($9,175).
Only half the funds were actually received in 1998, per contract agreement. This Ordinance
