1. Call Meeting to Order.
2. Update from the Fort Collins Convention& Visitors Bureau. (45 minutes)
The purpose of this item is to review the impact of the efforts by the FCCVB to date and seek
input from Council on the following questions:
• Is the FCCVB headed in the right direction with its strategic plan?
• Does City Council agree with the priorities identified by the FCCVB?
3. Items Related to the City of Fort Collins Urban Renewal Authority and the North College
Avenue Urban Renewal Plan. (1 hour)
The purpose of this item is to answer the following questions:
• Funding Options for the Urban Renewal Authority
- Are there issues or concerns that City Council wishes to see addressed in the
development of financing options?
- Shall the URA pursue financing from a third party bank or provide an internal
"revolving line of credit"via an Intergovernmental Agreement with the City?
• Does Council have any questions regarding the proposed addition of the URA into
Chapter 2, Article IV of the City Code which identifies "Authorities of the City"?
4. Single Family/Duplex Water Rate Alternatives. (1 hour)
Staff is seeking answers to the following questions:
• Does Council believe there is a compelling need to change the existing water rate
structure? If so, what result(s) or outcome(s) would the Council like to achieve by
changing the existing water rate structure?
• Are there any other water rate structures which the staff has not presented that the
Council would like to review?
• Is there any additional information Council would like on this issue?
