1. Call Meeting to Order.
2. Draft Energy. (1 hour discussion)
The City of Fort Collins Electric Board, together with Utilities staff, has drafted the 2008
Energy Policy for Council consideration. This policy is intended to replace the 2003
Policy.
3. Trash Services SW&Update and Recommendations. (1.5 hour discussion)
Since January, staff has been conducting the Trash Services Study. Throughout the
summer, the Project's focus has been on community feedback. The purpose of this work
session will be to review the feedback and to review five alternative actions for Council's
consideration. Staff would like Council's direction on which, if any, options it wishes to
pursue. The alternatives include:
1. City-wide Contract for Service or Districted Trash Service (includes PAYT and
Recycling Enhancements.)
2. Additional License Requirements without Districting.
3. Implementation of Recycling Strategies.
4. Additional License Requirements and Implementation of Recycling Strategies
without Districted Trash Service.
5. Null Alternative/No Legislative Changes.
4. Other Business.
5. Adjournment.
