STUDY SESSION AGENDA
January 11, 2005 6:00 p.m.
1. Call Meeting to Order.
2. West Nile Virus/Mosquito Control. (1 hour)
The purpose of this study session item is to seek direction from Council regarding how the City
should proceed with its West Nile Virus mosquito control program in 2005.
3. Police Services Overview. (1 1/2 hours)
The purpose of the study session on Police Services is: to review the internal survey conducted
in April of 2004; to provide Council with an overview of the types of services currently provided
to the community by Police Services; to discuss Benchmark indicators; and to review budgetary
issues and restraints.
4. BOB (BCC Renewal) - Ballot Language for Pavement Management Program. (30 minutes)
The purpose of this study session item is to discuss the Pavement Management Program ballot
measure; specifically to determine if staff shall continue to prepare materials for the Pavement
Management Program to be placed on the April 2005 ballot, to discuss the proposed ballot
language, and to discuss the term of the tax.
