SUBJECT:
Second Reading of Ordinance No. 107, 1999, Appropriating Unanticipated Revenue in the
Transportation Services Fund and Authorizing the Transfer of Appropriations from the Street
Oversizing Fund to the Transportation Services Fund for the Construction of Traffic Signals and
Improvements at the Intersection of County Road 32 and Timberline Road.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends adoption of the Ordinance on Second Reading.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City of Fort Collins successfully applied for Federal Highway STU funds for the construction
of a needed traffic signal at the intersection of County Road 32 and Timberline Road. The project
also entails adding left turn lanes at the intersection to improve the efficiency of the intersection.
Construction of the traffic signal is scheduled for the Fall of 1999. Ordinance No. 107, 1999 was
unanimously adopted on First Reading on June 15, 1999.

Staff recommends adoption of Resolution and of the Ordinance on First Reading.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The Federal-Aid Project requires a 18.7%match from the City of Fort Collins. The matching funds
in the amount of$23,000 have been included:in the-,1999•Street Oversizing budget. The Federal
portion of the project will be"reimbursed by the Colmado'Department of Transportation in the
amount of$100,000. t p
