The naming will allow legal addresses on the alley. It will simplify driving directions for residents, emergency personnel and delivery people. The naming will not change any existing addresses. Montezuma Fuller was a prominent architectural designer who influenced the character of Fort Collins'downtown. Included in his repertoire are the Drake House at Magnolia and Remington and the Alpert Block at 140-142 South College. Both of these buildings, which still stand, would be on the named alley. His other notable accomplishments in Fort Collins include the Edwards House, the Mosman House and the Avery Block. Review of the request has followed the Current Planning Department's procedures for this sort of request and has met the City's requirements. It has been routed to property owners and all of the City Utilities, Poudre Fire Authority, and outside utility providers including the US Postal Service for review and approval.
