HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOUNCIL - SUMMARY AGENDA - 10/26/2004 - STUDY SESSION AGENDA (SUMMARY)COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS STUDY SESSION AGENDA The Study Session will begin at the October 26, 2004 conclusion of the Adjourned Meeting Call Meeting to Order. 2. Fall Cycle of the Competitive Process for Allocating City Financial Resources to Affordable Housing Projects/Programs and Community Development Activities. (30 minutes - 10 minute staff presentation) The CDBG Commission presents recommendations as to which programs and projects should receive funding from the City's HOME Program for the FY 2004 Program year, which programs and projects should receive funding from available Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program funds, and which programs and projects should receive funding from the City's Affordable Housing Fund. Staff is asking if Council has any comments or questions with the recommendations for funding as suggested by the CDBG Commission? 3. Review of the design for Spring Canyon Community Park. (30 minutes - 10 minute staff presentation) The Parks and Recreation Board has been working on the park design for several months and unanimously recommends this design to Council. If this design is acceptable to Council, the design team will finalize the overall design and begin working on detailed drawings and construction specifications. 4. Discussion regardin the he appropriate role of the City's various policy advisory boards in the development review process. (1 hours - 20 minute staff presentation) The purpose of this study session is to discuss the appropriate role of the City's various policy advisory boards in the development review process, and to consider alternative administrative models for supporting that role. Staff is seeking the following direction: 1. Should the role of the City's various policy advisory boards be expanded to include the ability to comment on development review projects? 2. If yes, which option for an administrative model should be used to support the boards involvement in the development review process? 5. Fall 2004 Land Use Code Changes. (20 minutes - 5 minute staff presentation) The purpose of this study session item is to introduce to Council the proposed amendments, revisions and clarifications to the Land Use Code for Fall of 2004. 6. Other Business. 7. Adiournment.
