HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOUNCIL - PROCLAMATION - 09/21/1999 - PROCLAMATION PROCLAIMING SEPTEMBER 22, 1999 AS AM Mayor City of Fort Collins PROCLAMATION WHEREAS, homecoming is a time for alumni to return to their alma mater to celebrate, reminisce and rekindle friendships and for students to show support and pride for their school; and WHEREAS, we all have roles to play in the past, present and future of this city,from those who have been here for a lifetime to those who have only recently moved here; and WHEREAS, the annual Community HomecomingParade is truly a community-wide effort bringing pride to both participants and spectators alike; and WHEREAS, the residents of Fort Collins believe that by working together and sharing our various ethnic and cultural backgrounds we enrich our knowledge of our City's history and the potential far its future; and WHEREAS, partners in thisyear's Community Homecoming effort are the City of Fort • Collins, Colorado State University, Poudre School District, Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Business Association, Fort Collins Senior Center, Front Range Community College, the Veteran's Activities Committee, and students from Colorado State University, Poudre School District and Front Range Community College. NOW, THEREFORE, I, Charles Wanner, Mayor Pro Tem of the City of Fort Collins, do hereby proclaim September 21, 1999 through October 21, 1999 as COMMUNITY HOMECOMING MONTH and encourage citizens to attend the various events planned for Community Homecoming Month.
