Affordable Housing Needs and Strate ie� s Report. (6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.) General direction will be derived through the discussion of the following questions: • Does City Council have any comments or questions about the need for affordable housing, and the priority assigned to different types of housing? • Does City Council have any comments or questions about the role of various organizations in the provision of affordable housing, including the City's role? • Does City Council have any comments or questions about strategies to meet affordable housing needs? • Does City Council have questions or comments about the financial resources needed for affordable housing? 3. Discussion Regarding Revisions to the Practical Housing for All Resolution. (7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.) Staff is requesting Council feedback and direction on the following: • Does Council wish to revise Resolution 2002-098,covering new single-family homes and other housing not currently covered with respect to required accessible features by local, state,or federal regulations,to be more inclusive by adding provisions and built-in design features primarily intended for residents in addition to the current language,which is now intended primarily for visitors of all ages and abilities? • Does Council wish the City to continue to support the concept of prioritized development review and permit processing;associated funding related to homebuilder/buyer awareness and outreach and for certification and recognition awards to builders that construct PHA- eligible housing? • Does Council wish the City to provide additional incentives beyond those enumerated in the current resolution and any attendant funding? 4. Recommendations of the Neighborhood Ouality of Life Task Force. (8:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.) Discussion of options proposed by the Quality of Life Task Force regarding proposed amendments to the City Code pertaining to nuisance issues. 5. Other Business. 6. Adjournment.
