City of Fort Collins PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, every year, our Nation sets aside a week to honor 25 million Americans whose
entrepreneurial drive personifies the American Dream; and
WHEREAS, small businesses reflect the things that make our Nation great: vision,
responsibility, innovation, dedication and hard work; and
WHEREAS,small businesses are a vital part ofour Nation's economy, and they are leading
the way during the current economic recovery; and
WHEREAS,small business is the drivingforce behind a vigorous and expanding economy;
and
WHEREAS, during National Small Business Week, we salute Fort Collins'entrepreneurs
for being such an essential part of our community.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Ray Martinez, Mayor of the City of Fort Collins, do hereby
proclaim May 16-22, 2004 as
NATIONAL SMALL BUSINESS WEEK
in the city of Fort Collins and urge the community tojoin with me to dedicate themselves to learning
more about our entrepreneurs and how we can help them continue on their tremendous path of
success.
