STUDY SESSION AGENDA
September 24, 2002 6:00 p.m.
1. Call Meeting to Order.
2. Secondhand Tobacco Smoke Reduction Project. (6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.)
Staff is requesting Council direction and feedback regarding possible changes to the current
Smoking in Public Places Ordinance.
3. Review of the Second Year (2003) of the Adopted 2002-2003 City Budget. (7:30 p.m. - 9:00
P.M.)
Staff is requesting feedback and direction from Council on the following questions:
• Does City Council agree with the criteria used to make any necessary adjustments for the
2003 Budget Exceptions Process? Are there other criteria that should be considered?
• Does the City Council concur with the strategies that are proposed for balancing projected
revenues and expenditures for the 2003 budget?
• Does City Council have any comments regarding how the strategies should be applied to
ensure a balanced General Fund budget in 2003?
4. Other Business.
