1. Call Meeting to Order.
2. The proposed 2006 International Building Code (IBC)®, 2006 International Energy
Conservation Code (IECC)® and local amendments, which include provisions for radon-
reduction systems for multi-family housing Q or more units). (1 hour discussion)
To regulate the construction of new buildings, the City has adopted the 1997 UBC and the
2003 editions of the International Mechanical Code (IMQV the International Plumbing
Code (IPQV for multi-family (three or more units) and commercial buildings. For new
single-family and two-family buildings, the City has adopted the 2003 IRC. The 2006 IBC
is the most up-to-date edition of the model building codes available that apply to new
commercial, industrial and multi-family buildings, and new additions to such existing
buildings.
3. Final Report of the Railroad Issues Study Group. (45 minute discussion)
The Railroad Issues Study Group will present its findings and recommendations regarding
citizen concerns related to railroad operations in the City of Fort Collins. The charge of the
Railroad Issues Study Group was to develop the facts through discussions with
knowledgeable experts and then make recommendations to the City Council to mitigate the
impacts of railroad operations.
