The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) recently approved the conceptual design for this innovative project and the City of Fort Collins and CDOT are moving forward with the next stages of the project. The goal of this project is to improve the safety and performance of this vital intersection for today's traffic volumes as well as for future traffic growth. Project improvements include the construction of the roundabout at the intersection of Mulberry and Lemay as well as a pedestrian/bicycle bridge over the Poudre River and a walkway along the north side of Mulberry connecting to Riverside. • Project Schedule: Final Design - completed this Summer Construction - October through December Completion - January 2001 Total cost: approximately $2,000,000. Look for upcoming information on this project on Channel 27, local newspapers, and traveling road show events around the Fort Collins community.
