STUDY SESSION AGENDA
June 10, 2003 6:00 p.m.
1. Call Meeting to Order.
2. Harmony Corridor Plan Amendment—Update and Policy Direction (6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.)
A national developer has contacted the City to propose an outdoor regional retail center(Lifestyle
Center),to be located at the northwest intersection of Harmony and Ziegler roads. Development
of a shopping center on Harmony Road would require an amendment to the Harmony Corridor
Plan and Standards and Guidelines. An amendment would require the approval of City Council
after a recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Board.
Staff is requesting Council direction and feedback on the following questions:
• Has staff identified all relevant issues associated with the proposed Lifestyle Center land
use designation on the Harmony Corridor Plan?
• Is additional information needed?
• Is Council comfortable with the outlined planning process and public outreach program?
3. City of Fort Collins Compensation and Benefits:Philosophy and Practice (7:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.)
This presentation covers the philosophy and practices behind the City's compensation and
benefits programs. Topics discussed will include:(1)compensation philosophy and practice;(2)
summary of employee benefits; and(3) health plan changes for 2004-2005.
The presentation is intended to provide Councilmembers with an overview of how staff aligns
the compensation and benefit programs with the competitive market.
