STUDY SESSION AGENDA
October 26, 1999 6:00 p.m.
1. Call Meeting to Order.
2. Discussion Regarding the Mason Street Transportation Corridor. (6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.)
Staff, consultants, and citizen lead team members will provide City Council with a status report
on the Mason Street Transportation. This is the first formal presentation to the Council since the
project planning and design phase began in January of 1999.
Staff will present an overview of the project including the original ballot language and vision
statement developed by the citizen Lead Team.
BREAK. (7:00 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.)
4. Natural Areas Program Update. (7:15 p.m. - 8:15 p.m.)
This study session is intended to provide City Council with an overview of the Natural Areas
Program, the status of various program elements, staff s major activities, and some of the issues
and challenges the City faces as this important program is implemented.
Staff is requesting Council's comments and feedback on the following questions:
Do Councilmembers have questions about the program that have not been
answered in the agenda materials or staff presentation?
2. Are Councilmembers comfortable with the current direction of the program, or
are there changes you would like to see?
Discussion of the City Manager's recommended 2000-2001 budget
(8:15 p.m. - 8:45 p.m.)
The purpose of this last Study Session on the 2000-2001 budget is to review the
additions/changes to the recommended budget made by Council at the October 12, 1999 Study
Session. The additions/changes will be included in the First Reading of the Appropriation and
Budget Adoption Ordinance scheduled for November 2, 1999.
