STUDY SESSION AGENDA
February 27, 2001 6:00 p.m.
1. Call Meeting to Order.
2. Priority Projects - Discussion Regarding the DDA's Suggested Listed Projects to be Supported
by Tax Increment Revenues. (6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.)
Staff is requesting discussion and feedback by Council regarding priority projects to be supported
by the Tax Increment Revenues from the expansion of the Downtown Development Authority
(DDA)boundaries to include the Mulberry/Lemay Crossings property. Listed below is a list of
projects to be supported from the revenues and approved by the DDA Board of Directors.
♦ Linden/Riverside Intersection Improvements
♦ Mulberry/Lemay Roundabout
♦ Poudre River Improvements
♦ Update of the Downtown Plan
3. Northern Colorado Regional Communities I-25 Corridor Plan-Fort Collins I-25 Subarea Plan.
(6:30 p.m. - 7:45 p.m.)
On March 20,2001 Council will be asked to adopt the three major elements of the Plan -design
standards, open lands and natural areas,and transportation. The fully developed final Plan will
be brought forward for Council adoption in May.
Staff is requesting Council s response to the following questions:
• Is Council comfortable with the recommendations?
• Is the planning team doing enough to build support for and understanding of our project
by affected interests, particularly among the elected officials from the participating
jurisdictions?
• What else should staff be doing to insure a successful outcome of the project?
• Is Council comfortable with proceeding with adoption of the Plan elements on March 20?
