SUBJECT
This study session will be separated into two parts: (1) ASCSU representatives presentation and
discussion; and (2) City staff update regarding neighborhood quality of life improvement
strategies.
ASCSU representatives have requested to sit down with Council to present their concerns about
the "three un-related" ordinance. This item is intended to be a follow up to the November 20
"Solutions" community forum hosted by ASCSU. Representatives from ASCSU will give a
short presentation proposing the removal of the ordinance and the use of problem-specific laws
to remedy our neighborhood problems.
ASCSU representatives would like to discuss the following two questions with the Council:
1. What does council see as a solution to our neighborhood problems?
2. What can ASCSU do to help the city in this effort?
The second part of the study session will include a brief update from City staff regarding the
work currently being done by the Neighborhood Task Force. Additionally, staff will present the
findings from a research effort regarding rental licensing programs throughout the Country.
