SUBJECT:
Second Reading of Ordinance No. 112, 2001, Appropriating Unanticipated Grant Revenue in the
General Fund for Environmental Programs.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends adoption of the Ordinance on Second Reading.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City has applied for and received three grants related to reducing waste streams from the
commercial sector. Ordinance No. 112, 2001, which was unanimously adopted on First
Reading, appropriates unanticpated grant revenue in the general fund for environmental
programs.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:
This action will allow the City to spend a total of$20,000 in unanticipated revenue from three
separate funding sources in support of Natural Resources Department environmental programs.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
This Ordinance appropriates a total of $20,000 in unanticipated grant revenue from three
separate sources in the General Fund:
1. Pollution Prevention Education and Data Collection Activities/Technical Assistance
Grant
Fundine Source: Pollution Prevention Program of the Colorado Department of Public
Health and Environment
Brief Description: Funds will be used to continue and expand work with the Climate Wise
program, specifically to recruit five new businesses and assist new and
existing partners with action plan development.
