MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, Held
Thursday, November 10, 1965, at 1:30 o'clock P.M.
Present: Councilmen Johnson, Carson, McMillan and Bennett. City Attorney MArch.
Absent: City Manager Coffey and City Engineer Fischer.
Motion was made by Councilman Bennett, seconded by Councilman Carson, that the
reading of the minutes of the last regular meeting held November 4, 1965, be dispensed wi
9011 was called resulting as follows: Ayes. Councilmen Johnson, Carson, McMillan and
Bennett. Nayes: -None. The President declared the motion adopted.
The following resolution was presented and read at length:
RESOLUTION
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS APPROVING A PETITION FOR THE ANNEXATION OF THE
THUNDERBIRD ESTATES TENTH ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS; SETTING THE DATE FOR
HEARING ON AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION THEREOF; AND GIVING NOTICE THEREOF
WHEREAS, heretofore on the Lath day of November, A. D. 1965, a written petition
was presented to the Council of the City of Fort Golllns in substantial compliance with
the provisions of Colorado Revised Statutes, 1953, 139-11-3, by the owners of more than
fifty per cent( 50°fo) of the area and who comprise the majority of landowiers residing in
the area of the following described land, situate in the county of Larimer, State of Colo-
orado, to -wit:
A part of the 5L of the NW4 of Section 25, Township 7 North, Range 69 West of the 6th
Principal Meridian in the County of Larimer, State of Colorado, contained within the

be annexed and made a part of the City of Fort Collins and be included within the limits
and jurisdiction thereof as "RL" (Low -Density) District. That said petition wal signed by
the owners of more than fifty per cent (50%) of the area and who comprise the majority of
landowners residing in the area of said land. That said petition was accepted by the
Council of the City of Fort Collins on November 10, 1965, and that hearing on an ordinance
approving said annexation will be held ih the Council. Chambers in the City Hall in the City
of Fort Collins, Colorado, at the hour of 1:30 o1clock P.M. at a regular meeting of the
Council to be held the 23rd day of December, A. D. 1965.
That the landowners of the area proposed to be annexed may express their opposi-
tion to the annexation and secure an election by complying with the provisions of Colorado
Revised Statutes, 1953, 139-11-4.

BEING AN ORDINANCE VACATING A UTILITY EASEI4ENT IN THE ALVIN L. MILLER FOOTHILLS SUBDIVISION

Motion was made by Councilman McMillan, seconded by Councilman Carson, that Ordi-
nance No. 58, 1965, be considered favorably on first reading and ordered published this 10tt
day of November, A. D. 1965, and to be presented for final passage on the 2nd day of Dec-
ember, A. D. 1965. Roll was called resulting as follows: Ayes: Councilmen Johnson,
Carson, McMillan and Bennett. Nayes: None. The President declared the motion adopted.
The following resolution was presented and read at length:
RESOLUTION
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS ENDORSING THE REQUESTS OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF LARIMER COUNTY TO THE STATE HIGHWAY COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the County of Larimer has submitted certain requests to the State Highway
Commission relative to the highway program in Larimer County for the ensuing year, and
WHEREAS, said Board of County Commissioners has adopted certain resolutions being
numbered from 1 to 16 inclusive pertaining to said highway improvement program in Larimer
County, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered said several resolutions and is of the
opinion that endorsement of the same by the City of Fort Collins will be for the best
interests of the City of Fort Collins, and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that
the requests of the Board of County Commissioners of Larimer County to the State Highway
Commission pertaining to the highway program in Larimer County for the ensuing year be
and the same are hereby endorsed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the several resolutions adopted by said Board of
County Commissioners of Larimer County in submitting said requests to the State Highway
Commission being resolutions numbered 1 to 16 inclusive be and the same are hereby endors-
ed.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council held this 19th day of
November, A. D. 1965.

There was considerable discussion about several of the resolutions and Council-
man Bennett offered amendments as above. Motion was seconded by Councilman McMillan, that
the resolution be adopted as amended. Roll was called resulting as follows: Ayes: Council
men Johnson, Carson, McMillan and Bennett. Nayes: None. The President declared the
motion adopted.
Motion was made by Councilman McMillan, seconded by Councilman Carson, that
similar letters tot he Highway Commission, stressing three resolutions, No. 12, 13 and 14,
as important to the City of Fort Collins. Roll was called resulting as follows: Ayes:
Councilmen Johnson, Carson, McMillan and Bennett. Nayes: None. The President declared
the motion adopted.
Motion was made by Councilman Carson, seconded by Councilman Bennett, that the
Council adjourn. Roll was called resulting as follows: Ayes: Councilmen Johnson, Carson,
McMillan and Bennett. Nayes: None. The President declared the motion adopted and the
Council adjourned.
