Present: Councilmen Johnson, Colwell, McMillan, Guyer and Councilwoman Quinn. City Manager Boos, City Attorney March and City Engineer Weiss. Motion was made by Councilwoman Quinn, seconded by Councilman Guyer, that the reading of the minutes of the last regular meeting held June 4, 1964, be dispensed with. 11 was called resulting as follows: Ayes: Councilmen Johhson', Colwell, McMillan, Guyer and Councilwoman Quinn. Nayes: None. The President declared the motion adopted. The following ordinance was presented on second reading: ORDINNCE NO. 16, 1964 ING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 5-36 AND 5-63 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RT COLLINS, COLORADO, 1958, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO HOURS OF OPERATION OF CERTAIN PLACES AMUSEMENT Motion was made by Councilman Guyer, seconded by Councilwoman Quinn, that Ordi- nance No. 16, 1964, be adopted and become a law upon passage. Roll was called resulting as lows: Ayes: Councilmen Johnson, Colwell, McMillan, Guyer and Councilwoman Quinn. Nayes None. The President declared the motion adopted. The following resolution was presented and read at length: RESOLUTION THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS GIVING PUBLIC NOTICE CONCERNING A PROPOSED ORDI- CE CHANGING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AND AMENDING CHAPTER 19, CODE OF INANCES OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, COLORADO, 1958, AS AMENDED, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ING ORDINANCE WHEREAS, a petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of Fort Collins, requesting that the following described property, situate in the County of Larimer, State of Colorado, to -wit: Lot 21. Goehring Subdivision; be changed from "B" Residence District to "D" Commercial District, and WHEREAS, Section 19-13 of the Zoning Ordinance provides that the City Council may, from time to time, on its own action, after public notice and hearing as provided by law, amend, supplement or change the regulations of said Zoning Ordinance, and WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that a change should be made in the Zoning Ordinance re-classifying a certain area of the City of Fort Collins as is more par- ticularly specified in the Notice of Public Hearing herein contained,a nd is further of the opinion that public notice of said proposed change should be given so that the public gen- erally may have an opportunity to be heard. NOW, THEREFORE, 'FE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that notice of public hearing concerning the proposed change shall be given as provided by law at least fifteen (15) days prior to the date of said hearing by the City Clerk stating the time and place of said hearing. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that July 2, 1964, at 1:30 P.M. shall be the. time for said public hearing and the Council Chamber in the City Hall of the City of Fort Collins shall be the place for said hearing. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that June 16, 23, and 30, 1964, shall be the dates that publication of said notice be made in the Fort Collins Coloradoan, the official newspaper of the City of Fort Collins. The following resolution was presented and read at length: RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS APPROVING A PETITION FOR THE ANNEXATION OF THE THUNDERBIRD ESTATES SIXTH ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS; SETTING THE DATE FOR HEARING ON Al ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION THEREOF; AND GIVING NOTICE THEREOF WHEREAS, heretofore on the 4th day of June, A. D. 1964, a written petition was presented to the Council of the City of Fort Collins in substantial compliance with the provisions:- of Colorado Revised Statutes, 1953, 139-11-3, by the owners of more than fifty per cent (50%) of the area and who comprise the majority of landowers residing in the area of the following described land, situate in the County of Larimer, State of Colorado, to -wit: A tract of land situate in the NW4 of the NW4 of Section 25, Township 7 North, Range 69 West of the Sixth P.M., which, considering the North line of said NW4 as bearing N. 89°45' E. and with all bearings contained herein relative thereto, is contained within the boundary lines which begin at the Northwest corner of said Section 25 and run thence N. 89°45' E. 200.00 feet; thence S. 00°00145" ,. We, known as Stansbury -Ghent Company, Distributors and Dealer in Toro Most O'Matic lawn sprinkler systems, therefor, on behalf of Mrs. 8rwkenbury, request, by recommendation of Mr. Ed Hilenburg, a lawn tap from the 8" city main on Elizabeth Street. The field needs an outfield fence. This can be done with snow fence and steel posts at a cost of approximatel $200.00. This sum will buy 700 feet of fence and 55 steel posts. All of these items are in stock at local lumber yards and can be installed by the players involved at no cost to the city.
