COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, COLORADO
Council -Manager Form of Government
Special Meeting - 2:45 P.M.
A special meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins was held on
Tuesday, May 13, 1975 at 2:43 P.M. in the Council Chamber in the City of
Fort Collins City Hall. Mayor Russell called the meeting to order.
Present: Council members Bloom, Bowling, Gray, Reeves, Russell, Suinn and
Wilkinson.
Staff members present: Brunton, DiTullio, Case, Cain, Kaplan and Lewis.

Proclamation
City Clerk, Verna Lewis, read a proclamation at length in which Mayor Russell
' proclaimed May 31, 1975 as Fort Collins Senior Citizens Day.
Sole Source Purchase for completion at
Station 300 approved
City Manager Brunton sated he had received this sole source justification
for purchase for completion of the 115.KV duplex relay panels at Station
'300. The amount quoted by Keystone Electrical Manafacturing Co.- is
$13,771.50.
Councilman Bowling made a motion, seconded by Councilman Wilkinson, to
approve the above sole source purchase. Yeas: Council members Bloom,
Bowling, Gray, Reeves, Russell, Suinn and Wilkinson. Nays: None.
Administration authorized to proceed with
assistance for clean-up at Andersonviller
Alta Vista and Buckingham.
City Manager Brunton stated a communication had been received from Ms Lou
Stitzel regarding a clean up compaign in -Alta Vista, Andersondille and
Buckingham.
Administrative Assistant,John McGraw, explained that the communities were
requesting that the City make available this Saturday, three or four trucks
with the equipment operators, a loader with the operator and sometime
subsequent to this Saturday, have a grader available to grade the street
after the clean up. Mr. McGraw also stated the National Guard and the County
had been requested to assist in this community effort.

City Manager Brunton stated that if City crews were directed to work on
Saturday, they are entitled to time and one-half pay; if Council desired,
however, Council could authorize the use of City trucks, loader and grader,
with the understanding that this would come out of the budget.
Mr. Andy Zamora, from the Department of Human Development of Larimer County,
stated the County Commissioners had agreed to provide four trucks and to
open the landfill free 'of -charge to .this group.
Mayor R6ssefl stated he felt that this was an Administrative matter, that
Council seems to approve the concept.
No further action taken on this matter.
Adjournment
Councilman Wilkinson made a motion, seconded by Councilwoman Reeves, to
adjourn the meeting to May 27, 1975 at 2:30 P.M. Yeas: Council members
Bloom, Bowlkng, Gray, Reeves, Russell, Suinn and Wilkinson. Nays: None.
