Mayor Fead called the Special Meeting of the Council to order at 1115 P.M.
noting that all of the Council members were present.

Staff members present: Brunton, Di.Tul•lio, Bingman, N42rch,,Cain and Hoffman.
jConsider specifications, and plans for Warehouse Garage
for`Parks and Recreation Department, bid awarded
to Al Hockett
City ;Manager Brunton gave a review of the specifications to the Council.
The new facility is to house offices for most of the sections in the Parks
and Recreation Department.
The Administration called upon Mr. Wi.lkiiison's professional capabilities in
checking the specifications and he advised that they were designed in such a
manner that no one was kept from bidding.
' Councilman Wilkinson made a motion, seconded by Councilwoman Preble, to
award the bid to'Al llockett with the understanding that there is an esca-
lation clause included. Yeas:Council members Bowling, Fead,-Gray,
Preble, Reeves, Russell and Wilkinson. Nays: None.
Mayor Fead asked to be excused due to prior conmiittments.
City Attor - j authorized to proceed with Avery House
City Attorney March brought the Council up to date on the proceedings of
the Avery House and asked the Council for further instruction.

Councilwoman Preble made a motion, seconded by Councilman Bowling, to
direct the City Attorney to proceed with the contract on the Avery House
property and authorize the City Clerk and. City hIanager to execute the
agreement to purchase the property. Yeas: Council members Bowling,
Gray, Preble, Reeves, Russell and Wilkinson. Nays: None.

Councilman Bowling made a motion, seconded by Councilwoman Gray, that the
Council ad;ourr.. Yeas: Council members Bowling, Gray, Preble, coves,
Russell and. Wilk.uison. Nays: None.
