COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
July 9, 1985

An adjourned meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins was held on
Tuesday, July 9, 1985, in the Council Chambers of the New Municipal
Building, 30U West LaPorte Avenue, Fort Collins, Colorado. Roll call was
answered by the following Councilmembers: Clarke, Estrada, Horak,
Knezovich, Uhlson, Rutstein, and Stoner.
Staff Members Present: Arnold, KraJicek, HuisJen, Lewis, Shannon
Resolution Making Appointment to the
Planning and Zoning Board, Tabled to August 20
Following is the staff's memorandum on this item:
"On July 2, Council
made appointments to fill the various vacancies on
the
City Boards and Commissions.
This
appointment was delayed to this date
so
that Council could
further evaluate
the applications received. Copies
of
the applications under
Councilmember Horak
consideration
nominated E.J.F.
are attached."
Early to the regular membership on
the
Planning and Zoning
Board.
Councilmember Clarke
nominated Dave
Osborn to the regular membership on
the
Planning and Zoning
Board.
A straw poll resulted in a tie vote on the two nominations. (Councilmember
Estrada abstained from voting.)
Councilmember Stoner nominated Dana McBride for the position.
A straw poll resulted in a 4-1 vote in favor of Mr. McBride.
(Councilmembers Horak and Rutstein abstained from voting.)
Councilmember Knezovich made a motion, seconded by Councilmember Clarke, to
adopt Resolution 85-119 inserting the name of Dana McBride.
Councilmember Horak made a motion, seconded by Councilmember Ohlson, to
table Resolution 85-119 to expand the pool of applicants and interview
additional persons. Yeas: Councilmembers Estrada, Horak, Ohlson, and
Rutstein. Nays: Councilmembers Clarke, Knezovich, and Stoner.
THE MOTION CARRIED.

Consensus was to readvertise and interview the new applicants and make the
appointment as soon as possible (tentatively August 2U).
Adjournment
Councilmember Uhlson made a motion, seconded by Councilmember Horak, to
adjourn the meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 7:40 p.m.
