At a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 8th day of June A. D. 1914 the
following proceedings were had, Present Commissioners Armitage and Edwards City Atty.
Frank J. Annis. Absent Commissioner Clammer, In the absence of President Clammer
Commissioner Armitage as Vice President presided.
The minutes of May 25th read and approved.
on motion the Bonds of Levi Cunningham and Chas. Riddell for Sidewalk Contractors
were approved. The roll being called resulted as follows. Ayes Commissioners Armitage
and Edwards, Nays none. Absent Commissioner Crammer. The Vice President declared the
motion adopted.
Moved by Commissioner Edwards and seconded by Commissioner Armitage that the
Commissioner of Public Works be authorized and instructed to expend not over $500,00 in,
the needed repairs at the Prospect Park. Roll being called resulted as follows. Ayes
Commissioners Armitage and Edwards, Nays none. Absent Commissioner Clammer, The Vice
Presi-ent declared the motion adopted.
Moved by commissioner Edwards and seconded by commissioner Armitage that the report!
of the Commissioner of Finance be accepted,

Report of the City Engineer for the Month of May 1914. Fort Collins, Colo.
To the Honorable, the City Council' as the
Gentlemen I wish to make may P past month as follows;The month has been given
to the location of grades and the plotting of profiles and keeping the concrete construct
men busy -The grades on each of the side walk lines and also the center line of College
Avenue have been re-established from the Colorado and Southern track on the main line at
the north, to the north side of Pitkin Street on the south, making about five miles of
grade lines, The work of sidewalk and curb construction has occupied much time, During
the past month there has been constructed about 1000 feet of curb and about 1300 linear £
of sidewalk, also several driveways have been constructed. In regard to the Arthur side

Ordinance duly and legally adopted,

following ordinance be put on final passage.

RELATING TO JEFFERSON STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO.19 THE CONSTRUCTION OF
IMPROVEMENTS THEREIN AND PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS TO PAY THE COST OF
CONSTRUCTION THEREOF.
The roll being called resulted as follows. Ayes Commissioners Armitage and
Edwards, Nays None. Absent Commissioner Clammer, The Vice President declared the
Ordinance duly adopted.
On motion the Commissioner of Safety was ordered to see that the ordinance
in regards Plumbing and Plumbers be enforced in all its provisions.

NSinutes of a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 15th day of
June A. D. 1914 the following proceedings were had and approved. Present
Commissioners Clammer, Armitage and Edy;ards, City Atty, Frank J. Annis,
Commissioner Armitage presented the following resolutionnand moved the adoption
of'same seconded By Commissioner Edwards.
Whereas it appears from estimates prepared by the City Engineer that the cost of
the construction of a bituminious cement pavement in trimble court alley amounts
to 620.90 and the abutting property owners with one exception have that
they are willing to pay the cost of construction less one third to be paid by the
City, There fore be it
Resolved by the City Council that the matter of construction of said pavement
in Trimble Court Alley be referred to the Commissioner of Public Works and the
City Attorney to investigate and determine whether the said construction can be
done upon the basis of two thirds to be paid by the abutting property owners
and one third by the City and if found to be legal and the property owners will
enter into an agreement with the city waiving preliminary requirements under the
statute, the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized and empowered to
proceed at once with the construction of said pavement.

Edwards, Nays None, The President declared the resolttion.
Moved by commissioner Armitage and seconded by commissioner Edwards that the fol
lowing ordinance be put on first reading and ordered published according to law.

Relating to'sidewalks curbs and gutters and the planting of trees and repealing
Ordinance No.l 1909 and all'amendments thereto.
Ayes Commissioner Clammer, Armitage and Edwards, Nays None. The President de-
clared the motion adopted.
On motion the site for playgrounds as reported by commissioner Armitage was
accepted subject to the following as per letter of F. J. Annis"I advise that the
City may use the part of Block 166 for playgrounds as they did a year ago, with
tHe.Understanding.that -they will kepp the premises clean and the old buildigg
"protected from the youngsters that use the playgrounds, and you have my permis-
sion to convey this privilege to the Commissioner of Public Works.
On motion the City Engineer was given two weeks vacation.
