Present Commissioners Clammer Armitage and Edwands. On motion the reading of the minutes of the meeting of April 13th, 1914 Approved. Moved by Commissioner Armitage and seconded by Commissioner Edwards that the contract for furnishing cast iron pipe and other material be let to the Fort Collins Hardware Co. in the sum of $ 1507,44 this bid not to include drinking fountains. Roll being called resulted as follows Ayes Commissioners Clammer, Armitage and EdwaT?ds Nays none. The president declared the motion adopted. Moved by commissioner Armitage and seconded by commissioner Edwards that the following resolution be adopted. Resolution. Resolved by the City Council that the Commissioner of Public Works be and hereby is au- thorized to have contruoted the extension and renewals of water mains on different stree. as follows: 1000 Peet six inch main relaid on Howes Street between Olive and Mulberry Street; 1000 feet of four inch main on Mason street between Mountain Avenue and Olive street relaid and extended; 1000 ffet four inch main on Magnolia street relald and extern ded. Roll being called resulted as follows Ays Commissioners Clammer Armitage and Edwards. Nays none, the president declared the resolution adopted. Moved by commissioner Armitage and seocided by commissioner Edwards that the following resolution be adoped. Resolution Resolved that the Commissioner of Finance be and hereby is authorized and instructed to purchase one 750 gallon Studebaker Sprinkling wagon for the sum of $ 417.50 delivered for use upon the streets of the city. Commissioner Armitage presented the following ordinance and moved its adoption on first reading and have same printing according to law, same seconded by commissioner Edwards. Ordinance No ....... 1914 Providing for the issuance of licenses for laying, constructing or reconstructing cement sidewalks and driveways and providing for a bond to be executed for such lice±isess, for he suspension or revoking of licenses and providing penalties for the violation thereof. Roll being called resulted as follows. Ayes Commissioners Clammer, Armitage and Edwards Nays none, The President declared the Ordinance adopted on first reading. Commissioner Edwards presented the following ordinance and moved its adoption on first reading seconded by commissioner Armitage. Ordinance No ...... 1914 'AMENDING SECTION2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 18 RELATING TO DISORDERLY CONDUCT" Roll being called resulted as follows. Ayes Commissioners Chimer, Armitage and Edwards, Nays none. The President declared the ordinance adopted on first readng. Commissioner Armitage presented the following ordinance and moved the adoption of same on first reading same seconded by Commissioner Edwards Ordinance No ........ 1914 RAN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE !APPOINTMENT OF ELECTRIC METER INSPECTOR FIXING SALARY AND PROVIDING FOR THE TESTING OF ELECTRIC METERS." Roll being called resulted as follows. Ayes Commissioner Clasper, Armitage and Edwards Nays none.. The President declared the motion adopted. Commissioner Armitage presented the following resolution and moved its adoption same seconded by commissioner Edwards. RESOLUTION. Whereas it appears from the report of the City Engineer that the revised estimate of the cost of the proposed improvement in Jefferson Street Improvement District No. 1 is the sum of $ 9330.00 and whereas It also appears from said report that a complete assessment of the property In said District subject to charge for the cost of said improvements has been made filed and approved by the Council, therefore be it Resolved by the City Council that said estimated cost of said improvement be and hereby is approved amounting to $9330.00 and that the assessment made in accordance ther with be adopted including the assessment against the Denver and Interurban Railway Compa and that the total cost of said improvement shall not exceed said estimate and said total cost of said improvemert where meade shall be paid in ten (10) equal annual installments with interest not to exceed Six (6) percent per annum on the deferred installments. And be it further resolved , that the total cost of said improvement in said distri shall not exceed the sum of $9330.00 and the total cost of said improvements when made an completed shall be paid in ten annual installmentswith interest at the rate of six (6) pe cent per annum on the deferred installments and be it further resolved By the City Council that the Ciy Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed to cause a notice to be prepared to the owners of the property to be assessed in said Jefferson Str Improvement District No. 1 , which shall contain a description of the improvement proposed the number of installments and the time at which the cost will be payable the rate of into on unpaid and deferred installments the extent of the district to be improved, the probabl cost per front foot as shown by the estimate of the Engineer and that on the 25th day of May A. D. 1914, being not less than thirty days after the first publication and Ordinan ordering said improvement will finally considered by the City Council and tht the map and estimate and schedule of the amount assesed and all resolutions, and proceedings are on file and can be seen and examined by any person interested, in the office of the City Cler at which meeting aforesaid all complaints and onjections that may be made in writing concenring the proposed improvement by the owner or owners of any real estate to be assess will be heard and determined by the City Council,which said notice shall be published in one newspaper of general circulation in the city of Fort Collins and for twenty days prior to said meeting of the City Council.
