Minutes of the City Caancil held at the City Hall of the City of Fort Collins
Colorado, on the 28th day of May, A. D. 1913 pursuant to adjournment of May 26th
1913.
Present
Alderman Abbott, Armitage, Eves, Glessner, Johnson
Mathews, Schlichter, St. Clair, Watson, Yard.
Absent Hon. H. M. Balmer, Mayor.
In the absence of Mayor Balmer, Mayor pro tem St. Clair. presided.
Moved by alderman Armitage and seconded by alderman Schlichter that the
following resolution be adopted.
RESOLUTION.
Whereas, the sum of four hundred (400) dollars has been a'-propriated for
the purpose of paying the Salaries of instructors and expenses of the playgrounds
heretofore conducted under the authority of the City Council and
Whereas, no provision has been made for the organization of the playground work
or for its appropriate management therefore be it
RESOLVED: by t'lie City Council that the sum of three hundred (300) dollars be end
hereby is set aside from seld appropriation for the peymer_t of the salaries of the
instructors and that three (3) instructors be employed, two men and one lady and
that the salaries be fixed at $'45.00.) $35.00 and 0 20.00 respectively based upon
the hours of service; and that the sum of one hundred (100) dollors be set aside
for equipment and expenses that the committee on Public Grounds shall have im—
mediate charge of the work of conducting the playgrounds and in the event of
vacancies the committee is hereby authorized to fill the same reporting their
action to the council.

A ballot being taken on the office of- General Superintendent of Public Works of
t-e City of Fort Collins, Colorado, Mr. M. I. Dodson received ten votes whereupon he was
declared to be duly elected to the office of General Superintendent of Public Works.
Moved by alderman Abbott the the Bond -of Birkpetrick be approved as to form same
seconded by alderman Schlichter and vdien put to a vote carried.
Moved by Alderman Abbott and seconded by Alderman Eves and when put to a vote ce.rried
that the Bond of Yirkpatrick and Son be approved as to form.
Moved by Aldermen Eves end seconded by alderman Schlichter that the following resolution]
be adopted.
RESOLUTION.
P.esolved by the City Council that the grant of right of way under the tracks of the
Colorado and Southern Railway Company for the Pine Street Sevier outlet on Willow Street
be accepted Lnd that the contract submitted by said Company evidencing said grant be
accepted Lnd the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized to exec to said
contract on behalf of the City of Fort Collins.

authorized to procure stationery for collection letter in regards Cemetery Bills.

Committee be instructed to purchase equi-ment aru supplies for the City Engineer's

Moved by alderman Schlichter and seconded by alderman Johnson that the Street Committee
and the Purchasing Committee be instructed to buy two graders at $"25.00 each.
