City Council Work Session February 22, 2022 6:00 PM A) CALL TO ORDER. B) ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION 1. 2022 Strategic Plan. (staff: Tyler Marr, Kyle Stannert; 90 minute estimated time allotment) The purpose of this item is to present, discuss and receive Council input on the draft 2022 Strategic Plan. 2. Air Quality Overview (staff: Cassie Archuleta; 15 minute presentation; 45 minute discussion) The purpose of this item is to provide an overview of the Fort Collins Air Quality Program, which includes a range of multi-disciplinary activities such as air quality monitoring, emission reduction and resiliency strategies. Fort Collins faces challenges related to population growth and the associated air quality concerns that come with transportation demand, and other residential, commercial and industrial pollution sources. Included here are highlights from ongoing programs, new focus areas in 2022, and initial implementation of new Council investments related to air quality monitoring, outreach and engagement. These efforts directly advance Council’s priority to Improve Air Quality and align with additional priorities by including regional coordination (advance regionalism), reducing transportation emissions (advance transit), and reducing emissions overall (climate emergency).
