City Council Work Session December 14, 2021 6:00 PM A) CALL TO ORDER. B) ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION 1. Fort Collins Connexion Update. (staff: Chad Crager; 10 minute presentation; 30 minute discussion) The purpose of this item is to provide Council and the public an overview and update of the Connexion municipal fiber buildout. 2. Stormwater Utility Overview. (staff: Theresa Connor, Matt Fater, Ken Sampley; 20 minute presentation; 10 minute discussion) The purpose of this item is to provide an overview of the Fort Collins Stormwater Utility, which provides for public safety during flood events and environmental health through protecting and enhancing our streams and the Cache la Poudre River. The utility takes a multi-disciplinary approach to achieve these safety and environmental objectives, including education and awareness, capital improvements, regulations, and on-going maintenance. While significant investments have been made to improve the stormwater system, future investments are still needed to address remaining flood risks, improve water quality, and rehabilitate urban streams.
